About Intec Web Services (IWS)
IWS started out as "Intec Computer Services" about five years ago and due to the fact that more and more customers were making use of our Website development skills, we decided that this was the area of business that we would focus on.
There are three people involved in IWS, covering technical, translation and editorial / legal requirements. We are all certified in our fields and have a long history within our chosen professions.
About Our Services
We provide a fully professional service which follows a standard lifecycle. This ensures that we provide quality products that meet the customers needs.
Costing
We provide full quotations for all the work that we carry out and all work is charged in British Pounds.
We do charge for the production of the Project Specification Document separately to to the main project work. We do this for two reasons. The first is that you are under no obligation to have IWS undertake the work once the Specification Document is produced and a quotation given. Secondly, you are also at liberty to use this document for the purpose of obtaining other quotations. The normal fee for a specification document is £150.
For smaller private work, we still use a specification (even if this is not charged for) so that both the customer and ourselves have a clear understanding of the Project Scope.
For customers wishing to use our services on a more ad-hoc basis, we are happy to agree a daily rate in advance of work being undertaken.
How we make it work
- Requirements capture
- We will spend time with each customer working through the details of what is needed. We then write up a System Specification Document which is used as the basis of the project work, the budget and the duration. Note that this is charged separately to the project work.
- Development
- Once the project specification, quotation and timeframe's have been agreed, we will develop the system as per the agreed specification. Where possible we try to ensure an "open communication" policy in place so that any problems or changes are addressed during the project rather than after.
- Acceptance
- We will provide a fully working solution which will be available for acceptance testing prior to the final integration into your environment / or upload and configuration on your own domain.
- Delivery
- On acceptance of the demo system, we will integrate / upload the final solution to your server. We also provide a full copy of the source code for the development work undertaken.
Technologies
We use up-to-date technologies that best suit your needs. We do not use CMS's where they are not needed and we do try to make the future maintenance of your site as easy as possible.
And, we always use our own graphics or we purchase graphics on your behalf. We never infringe copyright on graphics as we nor you want unpleasant surprises later on!
